fixed or fastened safely so as not to give way, become loose, or be lost.
A pennanular brooch based on the traditional Celtic pin, with a sterling silver hand-built inverted crocus and a swiveling pin to secure it.
The Crocus flower is one of the first to emerge in the spring. It is often called "the light bulb flower" because it looks like a bright light bulb until the petals unfurl into the cup-shaped flower.
Measures about 30mm (1 1/4") in diameter. The pin is 35mm (a little under 1 1/2") long.
Oxidized and hand polished.
